$1,000 Culinary Scholarship
Every year Something New for Dinner awards a $1,000 scholarship to the student submitting the best essay on a food-oriented subject that changes yearly. For the 2014-15 school year, the essay topic is:
How Should We Encourage Smarter Eating?
Submissions
Your essay should be written in Microsoft Word, be 500-1,000 words long, use plain English, contain subheads, and support its contentions. Strong submissions will begin with attention-getting introductions, proceed logically and persuasively through their main points, and conclude decisively. Essays are due March 1 and should be submitted to this email. The winner will be announced and the scholarship awarded in April. Winning and runner-up essays will be posted on this website.
