4 ounces either bourbon, vodka, tequila, mezcal or a 50-50 mixture of tequila and mezcal
2 ounces pomegranate juice
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce rosemary ginger syrup (recipe follows)
Splash of ginger beer
A chunk of pomegranate, including peel
Slice of candied ginger
Long toothpick
Instructions
Put first four ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled halfway with ice. Cover and shake vigorously. Strain into a highball glass with a large ice cube.
Top with a splash of ginger beer and garnish with a chunk of pomegranate and a candied ginger disk threaded onto a long holiday toothpick.
