3/4 cup superfine sugar (add half a cup and taste before adding all the sugar and adjust to taste)
2 blood oranges, thinly sliced
2 limes, thinly sliced
6 kumquats, thinly sliced
1/2 large english cucumber, thinly sliced
Sparkling water
Instructions
Pour wine, gin and aperol into a large pitcher. Add superfine sugar and stir until diluted. Add oranges, cucumbers, kumquats and limes. Cover and refrigerate for several hours before serving.
When ready to serve put a couple oversized ice cubes in a glass, fill glass with two thirds sangria and top with sparkling water.
