This week I held a private Cocktails and Appetizers cooking class for 18 ladies who were celebrating two significant birthdays. These ladies regularly get together for fun, laughter, support, travel and a cocktail or two. It was an honor to help them celebrate their birthdays by learning something new in my kitchen.
BLOOD ORANGE MARGARITA

Why do I love blood orange margaritas? Blood oranges are gorgeous. I love their red, orange and pink color. Blood oranges are tarter than regular orange juice, so they work to keep the margarita not too sweet, but still refreshing. Make these vibrant cocktails between December and May when blood oranges are in season.
OMG THAT’S GOOD CHOCOLATE MARTINI

This decadent chocolate martini is amazingly simple to make and just plain delicious. All you need is Godiva Dark Chocolate liqueur, Van Gogh Chocolate Vodka, a cocktail shaker, ice and a martini glass.
PASSION FRUIT TEQUILA MOJITO

There may be no better purpose for a passion fruit than a cocktail. This passion fruit mojito is fragrant and delicious and is best served on a remote island, with waterfalls, flamingos preening on the shore, dolphins frolicking in the shoreline and handsome island people playing ukuleles on the beach. If that is not possible, the drink stands on its own as a little mini-vacay.
MEXICAN MULE COCKTAIL

Mexican Mules are a variation of the always delicious Moscow Mule. Made with tequila, fresh lime juice, simple syrup and ginger beer, these cocktails are the perfect summer thirst-quencher. Take your Mexican Mules up a notch and add one of our Tequila Lime Boozy Pops as an edible garnish.
