Grilled cheese has new meaning
Halloumi is meant to be cooked. Its high melting point makes it suitable for grilling. Served warm, it is a buttery salty treat. Slice Halloumi and throw it in a pan without oil over medium heat. Allow to brown and flip it over and brown on the other side. For a great appetizer serve it with warm pita bread and a squeeze of lemon. Or use it in Down-under Halloumi cheese and De Puy lentil salad.
