Kerrygold makes wonderful cheddar cheese

My husband and I throw a holiday wine, cheese and chocolate party that is one of my favorite way to host friends. We put out multiple cheese platters and pair them with all sorts of jams, compotes, charcuterie, olives, mustards, nuts and fruits. We offer an assortment of wine and beer so our guests can explore pairing a wide variety of combinations. This year Kerrygold sent us four of their wonderful cheddar cheeses made from pasteured Irish cows milk. The result is Kerrygold cheese is exceedingly creamy and unlike most cheddars you have tasted.

  • Skellig, a creamy, fruity and slightly sweet cheddar cheese.
  • Dubliner, a blended style slightly sweet cheddar with hints of parmesan.
  • Dubliner with Irish Stout, a malty, nutty cheese with the underlying caramel and bitter of Irish Stout.
  • Aged Cheddar with Irish Whiskey, a creamy savory cheese with butterscotch and whiskey notes.

We plated Kerrygold's cheeses with slow-roasted tomatoes, slices of Fuju persimmons, pears, apples, salt and pepper candied walnuts and plenty of crackers and baguette slices. I think you will thoroughly enjoy these scrumptious Kerrygold cheeses.

Serve at room temperature

Be sure to let the cheese stand at room temperature at least one hour before serving to enhance flavor.
